HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT WORKING ABROAD?Finland is a modern European country located in Scandinavia. Finland is also a member of the European Union and the country's standard of living is one of the highest in the world. For anyone who appreciates beautiful and clean nature, Finland is a haven.
A typical Finn values hard work, open communication and honesty at the workplace. At Recoil we want to encourage everyone to give their input in the creative process and we offer all of our workers the resources they need to succeed. Finns generally speak English well in addition to their native Finnish and Swedish. Many companies, including Recoil, have English as their official language. Helsinki has become an international, modern city offering world-class restaurants, hotels and night life. The restaurant scene in particular has come to be known for its culinary delights. The greater metropolitan area of Helsinki has a population of approximately 1 million people. The award-winning Helsinki-Vantaa airport is just a 20 minute drive away and it offers easy connections to other European cities. The Recoil office is situated in the center of Helsinki. The connections to anywhere in the greater metropolitan area are excellent, whether going by car, bus, subway, train or tram. Imagine spending a part of your month long summer holiday in the Finnish country side at a cottage, enjoying the peaceful and breathtaking views while fishing, canoeing or bathing in a sauna. Finland's thousands of lakes provide a beautiful and interesting backdrop for all nature-related activities. One Finnish summertime favorite is the wide range of summer concerts and events to visit. These range from one day concerts to week long music festivals and events like the annual computer art festival Assembly which attracts game-a-holics and hackers alike. There's plenty to explore in other parts of Finland as well. Finns like to travel up north during the winter season to visit the frozen vistas of Lapland and spend some quality time at one of the many skiing resorts. Think of crisp air, everything around you covered with endless amounts of snow and the northern lights dancing in the otherwise pitch-black sky. Winter also offers a wide range of fun and sport opportunities like snowboarding, ice-hockey and - if you are feeling adventurous - swimming in frozen lakes. |
